I had the honor of photographing the wedding of some very dear friends this weekend. Stephen and Lee have known each other since the first grade and we have enjoyed getting to know Andee over the past several months. So, it truly was a blessing to able to be a part of Andee and Lee’s big day. I took some bridal portraits of Andee a few months back. Right before the ceremony began, Andee’s grandmother, Mam, came up to me to tell me about one of those portraits. I had taken a picture of Andee standing under a tree looking down at her bouquet. Mam said she cried when she saw it because it had reminded her of another picture she had of Andee. You see, when Andee was a toddler, Mam was taking her to have pictures made and Andee insisted on bringing her bible. Mam has a picture of Andee looking down at her bible as a toddler the same way she looked at her bouquet as a beautiful woman. At the time I was told this story I had already taken all of the individual and group pictures. When I got home and started looking I began crying when I saw that again Andee had posed the same way for another portrait. So, Mam, this first picture is for you.

Now that we all have a Kleenex, on to the rest of the pictures!
The groom.

Because the bride’s bouquet gets so much attention, I decided to give the groom’s boutonniere a little attention.

Family Fun

This morning Stephen and I got to spend time with Christie and Kevin and their two precious little boys. We had such a great time taking family shots and even snuck in a few individual shots of each of the boys. Brooks was such a sweetheart. After a few minutes of Stephen playing with his trucks, he came over and gave him a hug and wanted to spend the rest of his time with him! Guys, thanks for letting us photograph your beautiful family. Hope you enjoy your sneak peek. I can’t wait for you to see the rest!

Baby John

Today I got to spend some time with precious John who is three weeks old. He was such a sweetheart. I don’t think he made a peep the whole time I was there. We got lots of great shots, but I think one of my favorites has to be of him in his cradle. I love when I get to a shoot and am able to use something so special. This cradle was made for John by his Daddy before he arrived. I love knowing that this picture of John sleeping in it will be something that will be cherished by John one day as his own baby sleeps in this cradle. I have to say his Daddy did an awesome job on this cradle and his Mommy did a wonderful job on the “R” she painted on the end. John is one lucky and loved little man! Guys, I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!
