I had the honor of photographing the wedding of some very dear friends this weekend. Stephen and Lee have known each other since the first grade and we have enjoyed getting to know Andee over the past several months. So, it truly was a blessing to able to be a part of Andee and Lee’s big day. I took some bridal portraits of Andee a few months back. Right before the ceremony began, Andee’s grandmother, Mam, came up to me to tell me about one of those portraits. I had taken a picture of Andee standing under a tree looking down at her bouquet. Mam said she cried when she saw it because it had reminded her of another picture she had of Andee. You see, when Andee was a toddler, Mam was taking her to have pictures made and Andee insisted on bringing her bible. Mam has a picture of Andee looking down at her bible as a toddler the same way she looked at her bouquet as a beautiful woman. At the time I was told this story I had already taken all of the individual and group pictures. When I got home and started looking I began crying when I saw that again Andee had posed the same way for another portrait. So, Mam, this first picture is for you.
Because the bride’s bouquet gets so much attention, I decided to give the groom’s boutonniere a little attention.

Congratulations you two. Thanks for letting us be a part of your special day!
