Stephen and I had the honor of photographing the union of Barbara and Chad earlier this month. Besides the rain keeping us indoors for most of the photos, it was a prefect day. The flowers were beautiful (thanks to Jess from Frou Frou in Alabama), the church was amazing, the bride was radiant and the groom couldn’t have been happier! Guys, thanks for letting us be a part of your special day. We have enjoyed getting to know you and wish you the best in your new life together!

The first meeting of the couple is always special and this one was no exception. Her face was full of excitement to see her groom for the first time!

The bridal party was large and rowdy! All order in the court.

The ceremony was at the beautiful Northminster Baptist Church.

The celebration continued at the very awesome Jackson Yacht Club.

The dance floor was hopping thanks to Suzy’s Sounds from Madison.

I lucked out and caught this special moment between the two newlyweds right after the ceremony.
Thank you again for allowing us the opportunity to capture this special event in your lives; we wish you two the best of luck in all of your endeavors.

If you just smile…
This little man has to be the happiest baby boy. He smiled almost the entire time he was here. He had us all cracking up. The only time he cried was when it was time to go! I have to admit he has been my motivation the past few days! Anytime I need to smile I thumb through his session. Here is a little peek at our time together. Go ahead and smile, you know you want to!

Mr. and Mrs. Brown
Stephen and I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of a very dear friend this past weekend. We couldn’t be happier for these two. They are a perfect match! We were so honored that they allowed us to document this day. I am so pleased with the results. The wedding was absolutely beautiful as was the bride. Thank you guys for letting us be a part of your day. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

Our Anniversary Gift
May 29th marked our eleventh anniversary. To celebrate we decided to induldge in a rare treat. We have so many pictures of Henry, but none with us since he was two weeks old. I must admit that I have been a little jealous of all the fun family pictures I have taken for others. So, we decided to treat ourselves to a family portrait session. At the time we decided that this would be our gift, we had no clue what a “treat” it really would be.
We have admired the talent of Adam and Allison Hudson for a while now. I have been telling Stephen for close to a year that I wanted them to do some family portraits for us. Since we are such last minute people, I just knew we wouldn't be able to get a session with them. However, Stephen decided to give them a call and they were gracious enough to cancel some plans and squeeze us into their busy schedules. With that, I got busy stressing over what we would wear and being nervous about being on the other side of things!
The day of our session came and we tried on all ten possible outfit combinations(not really, but close) before choosing what we would wear. Then we spent the whole time traveling to our session nervous about meeting the Hudsons and having to be the subject instead of the photographers. From the moment we arrived, I knew all the worry was in vain. Adam and Allison made us feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I can only hope we do the same for our clients. I can't remember the last time we had so much fun!
Thanks to Allison and Adam Hudson for our awesome photos! We had a blast hanging out with you guys and look forward to visiting again soon!
With permision from Adam Hudson Photography, here are some of our many favorites of the day!

Adam Hudson Photography
Today Stephen and I reversed our usual role. We became the subject instead of the photographers. For our anniversary we wanted some family pictures since we have not had professional pictures done since the 90’s (yes we are that old). Adam and Allison Hudson were kind enough to squeeze us into their busy schedule, which we were honored to have them take our once a decade pictures. These two are not only very talented photographers, but also a very awesome couple. We had so much fun tonight with them and feel like they captured us just the way we are, a very dysfunctional family.
Although we do have a difference of opinions in camera brands and how to handle the camera’s (inside joke), the Hudson’s are superbly talented photographers and we can’t wait to see the results. Thank you very much for making this anniversary one of our best!

Stephen and I got to spend some time with Nikki, her mom, her soon to be mother-in-law and her cousin Jana yesterday evening for a Bridal session. While we had a great time with this session, I hate that we can’t share any images of the beautiful bride for a few weeks! However, I do have a few images of the locations we visited. Until the wedding, these will have to do.
This first image fits the location perfectly! There were so many bees you could honestly hear the screeching noise of them drilling their nests in the wood.

Luckily, Nikki trusts us. Apparently, there was a little confusion when I described this last location. I just said “a trailer behind a dumpster” so I guess I can see where the confusion may have set in. But, she went with it and we have some UH-MA-ZING images to show for it!

We did get permission for this last image. Aren’t these shoes just AWESOME? With shoes like that you can just imagine how gorgeous the bride and the dress are!

So, until June 5th we leave you with this. Be sure to check back in a few weeks when this session will finally get the blog it deserves!
Stephen and I met up with Matt yesterday for an afternoon session. It was a great opportunity for us to try some fun shots along with some awesome portraits. I have to admit that I couldn’t be happier with the way this session turned out. Matt, we had a blast hanging out with you. I hope you enjoy the sneak peek!

The other morning I had the priviledge to spend some time with Mr. “B” and his mommy and daddy. At six weeks, Baby “B” was very alert and a joy to be around. Even though he was a little older than the usuall newborn by the time we were able to get him in, we were still able to get some great shots of him and his personality. I enjoyed spending the morning with you and look forward to many more sessions with you.

Last Friday I got to spend my morning with this handsome little man, his parents and his grandmother. With a head full of blonde hair, he is quite a photogenic baby boy! Guys, I enjoyed my morning with you all. Thanks so much for allowing me to capture these precious memories for you. I hope you enjoy the sneaks!
